On sunday we were transported into another world - the world of birds on their migrational flight over far away countries. The wonder of the world was felt deeply and we thank Storytellers Victoria - Jackie Kerin & Sarah Depasquale for sharing tales from the Flyway which was developed out of a love for urban wetlands and birds, especially those found at our doorstep in Hobsons Bay.
We also thank Abshiro Farah for introducing us to Shah & Sheeko ( Somali words for Tea & Stories), a long tradition of celebrations from her homeland - Somalia. She misses her home for this simple tradition of sharing. " We're so busy in the West. Shah & Sheeko was our way of debriefing from life's stresses while we shared latest songs, poetry & stories."
