Bay Klay Chit is a young adult refugee from Karen State, Burma, and a core team member of GenHope, an organisation set up to promote Karen leadership in Australia and along the Thai-Burma border. Bay has travelled back to the Thai-Burma border multiple times, visiting the camps where he grew up, as well as schools and villages inside the internally displaced zones of his homeland.
Passionate about soccer, Bay is hoping to be part of a soccer trip that would take members of his church to the border to compete with Karen youth and young adults, as many Karen are also obsessed with the sport.
